Idaho Democratic Party Chair Bert Marley announced today that he will cast his vote for Bernie Sanders at the July Democratic National Committee Convention in Philadelphia. That means two of Idaho’s superdelegates are committed to Sanders, one for Clinton, and another has not yet declared.
Marley made the announcement following Tuesday’s statewide Democratic county caucuses in Idaho, where Sanders earned 78 percent of Idaho Democratic support:
“I committed to wait to declare until Idaho Democrats had the opportunity to weigh in. They have spoken and I agree. Sen. Sanders speaks to me on so many issues from health care to student debt to economic fairness. I am delighted by the energy and passion he has generated here in Idaho. He has earned my support.”
