Her choice is Lindsay Reynolds, who worked for First Lady Laura Bush and President George W. Bush in the White House. Now, she will be running First Lady Trump’s operation from the East Wing.
This is good news! America will finally have another classy First Lady in the White House:
“I am putting together a professional and highly-experienced team which will take time to do properly,” Trump said in the release. “I am excited to be organizing and bringing together such a dynamic and forward thinking group of individuals who will work together to make our country better for everyone.”
Reynolds’s deep roots in the White House provide a contrast to the First Lady’s other hire, former Vogue events planner and New York socialite Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who is said to have assumed the role of chief strategist after planning inaugural events, according to Page Six. Wolkoff’s expertise is event planning—she was the fashion director of Lincoln Center before developing her own creative agency.
The Washington Post reports that Wolkoff will liaise with Reynolds from New York, where she’ll remain with Trump for the time being. The extent of Wolkoff’s role in the East Wing remains to be seen, but she is helping in the hiring process.
This weekend, the First Lady will join her husband President Trump at the Mar-a-Lago estate, which is in Florida.
