I Director James Comey has had a very contentious relationship with the American people, and with the truth. He recently earned the respect of Conservatives for reopening the investigation of Hillary Clinton in timely fashion right before the November 8 election.
However, he has since lost it by refusing to cooperate with President Donald Trump’s administration and saying that the FBI is now investigating Trump. Congressman Trey Gowdy, who has a long history with James Comey, recently took action to put him in his place.
Gowdy’s personal aide Mandy Gonsales recently talked to TIME magazine and explained Trey’s recent moves, saying, “Mr. Gowdy wants to know the truth. He hates it when there are lies and deceit going around. In this case, the Obama shadow government is doing everything it can to protect Hillary Clinton and hide the fact that the Russian connection is with the DNC, not with Donald Trump.” She continued, “Gowdy will bring all of the major players—including Clinton, Obama, and FBI Director Comey—in front of his committee to find out exactly what’s going on.”
Gowdy recently made waves for the way he stuck it to Comey in cross examining him about the FBI wiretapping people. Said Gowdy to Comey in the hearing, “I’m going to finish the same way I started. This is an agreement between the American people and its government. We are going to — we, the American people, give certain powers to government to keep us safe, and when those powers are misused and the motive is not criminal investigations or national security, then I’ll bet you my fellow citizens are rethinking their side of the equation.”
He finished, “Because that U. S. citizen could be them next time. It could be you. It could be me. It could be anyone until we start seriously investigating and prosecuting what Congress thought was serious enough to attach a 10-year felony to.” Are you glad that Gowdy is holding James Comey accountable?
