President Trump and Melania are going to have an awesome Fourth of July with those who deserve it most- military families. The White House will be hosting a picnic for military families on the South Lawn. Afterwards, they will watch the D.C. fireworks from the Truman Balcony.
President Trump has already given an awesome, rousing Fourth of July speech on Saturday at the Kennedy Center’s Celebrate Freedom Rally. He highlighted his admiration for our men and women in uniform, and his commitment to veteran’s causes.
President Trump also called up 101-year-old Lt. Col Dick Cole, the last surviving member of the World War II-era Doolittle Raiders before the Fourth of July, to thank him for his service and wishing him a fast recovery from a recent injury.
President Trump is definitely at home with veterans. He’s done a great job of honoring them throughout the weekend, and we just know his and Melania’s White House picnic will be a knock-out!
But what’s VP Mike Pence up to this Independence Day? So far he has been spending the weekend in Michigan. Strong indications suggest he might show up to Grandville, Michigan for their annual Fourth of July parade. This would be a great choice for VP Pence- President Trump held his final rally nearby as polls were closing in November. We wish we could be there to see him!
Sounds like our leaders are going to help America ring in an awesome Independence Day. At 241 years old, we’re looking better than ever.
